The Ministry of Defense declassified a list of universities, which remain the military department (complete list)

Today, the Defense Ministry released a list of those universities, which after 2008 to maintain a military department.

At this point in the Russian higher educational institutions operate 229 military departments, but the number and quality of training officers on them, it is not satisfied with the Defense Ministry. In early summer, so decided a long list of seriously reduced.

Recall that in early summer in the media appeared a preliminary list of universities, the reliability of which the Defense Ministry did not confirm.

Since 2005, the Defense Ministry stopped at a set of military departments of universities. "Those students who, in 2004 and previously acted on the military departments of universities, have completed training on military records specialists" - the ministry noted.

Meanwhile, according to the Levada Center poll, the Russians did not approve the reduction of military departments in universities. So, definitely do not approve of it 25% of respondents, most do not approve - 29%.

Now 33% of respondents believe that the reduction of chairs and new rules for recruitment of graduates will lead to increase in the number and size of bribes for the release from service. 30% believe that increased number of young men drafted into the army, yet 30% believe it is fair that the army will serve all - and have received higher education, and are not able to get it.

Most respondents - 31% - do not expect reform neither good nor bad, just good - 10%, only bad - 5%.

In the Agreement today the list included 35 universities, which have military departments will be retained, and 33 high school, where they will be converted into military training centers. These centers are invited to train officers for military service under the contract, as well as training programs for reserve officers.

9. Moscow Aviation Institute (State Technical University).
10. Moscow Automobile and Road Institute (State Technical University).
11. Moscow State Construction University.
12. Moscow State Technical University named after Bauman.
13. Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography.
14. Nizhny Novgorod State University named after NI Lobachevsky.
15. Omsk State Technical University.

16. Penza State University.

Thus, since 2008, military training, students will be carried out in 68 civilian universities instead of 226 in the present.
