New Orleans again go under water?

June 3 2006

Some areas of New Orleans ends up with greater speed than before Hurricane Katrina.

These are the results of research conducted by specialists at the University of Miami.

It is possible that subsidence was the reason that the city built to protect the levees did not stand the flow of water.

Scientists believe that the low-lying areas can not build housing.

Meanwhile, engineers say that New Orleans is ready for a new hurricane season, which officially began on 1 June.

However, some experts say that is not fully completed the construction of dams, BBC reported.
