Australia's national football team immortalize in DM

Australia Postal Service intends to perpetuate the achievements of Australian squad for the World Cup in Germany is going federal.

Yesterday in an interview with ABC radio stations representative of the agency said that in honor of the national team players will be released a limited edition series of 11 stamps.

On post miniatures will be displayed goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer, reflecting a hopeless ball during the game against Croatia, score a goal from a penalty kick in the gates of Japanese striker John Aloisi, and team captain Mark Viduka before the match with Italy. Face value of each of them will be 50 cents, also provides for issuance of special blocks of 10 stamps.

It is expected that a commemorative series goes on sale in mid-December on the eve of Christmas.
