Russia believes in winning the Olympic Sochi application and prepare first-class

Russia is counting on winning bid of Sochi in the contest to host the Olympics in 2014. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to him, the country is ready to host games at the highest level.

"We look forward to an objective, friendly and professional approach when choosing a place to host the Olympics in 2014 - Putin said Sunday at a meeting with Russian Olympic athletes at the Novo-Ogaryovo.

"In this race we are engaged not in order to keep warm and to win" - the president said, as quoted by RIA Novosti.
