Maori will save the West from a terrible disease

May 17 2007

Traditional Maori food item, eel, can give an answer on how to deal with diabetes.
According to the researcher Marie Benton, contained in the eel amino acids and omega can prevent the development of diabetes.

The study, which lasted ten years, we observed two groups of patients with diabetes.
Among the groups holding Western cuisine, seven out of ten died, barely breaking the 70-year milestone. The group, which adheres to the traditional cuisine of the region, no one died during the study, and two people have celebrated its 80 anniversary.

A survey conducted among Maori Benton, also confirm the assumption that the urbanization of Maori led to an increase in suffering from diabetes, as those who prefer to live "on the precepts of the fathers" is practically not been exposed to diseases transmitted
