Avian influenza virus is transmitted by airborne droplets

Two mutations of avian influenza virus, which may be evidence that the infection after a while begins to spread by airborne droplets, discovered by Japanese scientists.

All cases of human infection with the H5N1 virus were caused by direct contact with sick birds. However, according to a group of Japanese scientists found their strains of the virus suggests that it mutates and acquires new abilities to spread.

Mutated virus was found in the Japanese biological samples taken from victims of avian influenza in Vietnam and Thailand. RSN reports
