Vitamins drink turned painful erections

The New Yorker Christopher Woods has filed a lawsuit against the manufacturer of vitamin drinks Boost Plus - a pharmaceutical company Novartis.

American drank a can of Boost Plus 5 June 2004. According to him the next day he awoke with an erection, which did not stop, "reports Associated Press. Physicians to whom the man, identified him hard priapism (painful erection of the penis - Ed.).

As a result of drinking beverage Christopher Woods was forced to go to the hospital where he underwent embolization of the penile arteries, which prevents clogging of blood vessels and reduces the likelihood of an erection. As stated in the lawsuit by Novartis, 29-year-old Woods had surgery to implant a shunt Winter, which moves blood from one place to another.

The representative of Novartis Consumer Health Inc. Brandi Robinson, said that the company is known about the lawsuit filed against her, but refused to comment on a possible lawsuit.

The website of the company drink Boost Plus is described as "tasty, high calorie, nutritionally complete supplement for people who require extra energy and protein," notes the Telegraph.
