Greek police during a large-scale raid freed three women who were forced into prostitution, according to RIA Novosti news agency referring to the Greek police. Two of these - a Russian citizen and a Romanian.
In Athens and Thessaloniki was conducted simultaneously raided two hundred policemen, with the support of Europol and Interpol. Was suppressed the activity of a major international criminal group. Arrested nine gang members and 21 associate. Wanted another 23 suspects, among them citizens of Russia, Greece, Germany and Turkey.
Police raided 15 homes and offices, seized five vehicles, as well as dozens of passports, mobile phones and a large sum of money.
"This is one of the largest criminal gangs, forced immigrant women in our country for prostitution," - said in a statement the police.
