In France, President Nicolas Sarkozy has demanded severe punishment for shooting at police during the riots. Riots broke out in Villers-le-Bel on Nov. 26, 2007, after two teenagers were killed in a collision of a motorcycle with a police car and police left the scene of the accident, had no first aid. On the fact of an accident initiated a criminal case under investigation. Two nights in a row the young people pelted police with stones, Molotov cocktails and fired from shotguns. In response, guards used tear gas, stun grenades, light and rubber bullets.
