Today the U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill authorizing the President of the country to order wiretapping American citizens without court authorization.

The new law authorizes the president to order the start of surveillance for 3 months after the "terrorist attack" or "armed attack". In addition, the order may be given if "the president believes the attack inevitable.

The bill was passed by a majority of 232 votes against 191. Now the document is left to sign George Bush, but he alone is one of the most ardent supporters of his decision, reported Reuters.
