In the rich Abramoviches now two
The British newspaper "Sunday Times" (The Sunday Times Rich List 2007) published its annual list of thousands of the richest people in Britain and Ireland, where traditionally, in addition to the indigenous Britons and Irish, includes foreigners living or doing business in those countries.
Topping the list, as in the past few years, took an Indian steel magnate Lakshmi Mittal. Following the acquisition last year of European steel company Arcelor Mittal has left in isolation from other rich people from 19.25 billion pounds.
The governor of Chukotka and Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich once again took second place. After the divorce and payment of ex-wife Irina compensation his condition is 10,8 billion pounds sterling. Third place, thanks to higher prices of land and property in the UK, still holds the largest landowner in the United Kingdom Duke of Westminster (7 billion pounds).
