In Dagestan, many residents did not celebrate the holiday of Nowruz Bayram - because of the murders of two prominent journalists in the country - Channel One reporter Ilyas Shurpayev and head of state television and radio "Dagestan" Haji Abashilov. This was reported by a representative of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic.
"The official holiday is celebrated on March 21, but many Dagestanis in connection with yesterday's events moved its celebration today, but some do not celebrate it this year" - said the representative office, quoted by RIA Novosti.
Recall that the Nowruz Bayram - one of the favorite holidays in Dagestan. This is a Zoroastrian ceremony celebrating the New Year, which symbolizes the arrival of spring and purification.
