On this day the Orthodox Church reveres St. Myron miracle worker, Bishop of Crete. In his youth he was a family man and was engaged in farming. Myron was famous for its kindness, helping everybody. One day, catching on his threshing floor of thieves, the Holy Myron had helped them to lift bags of grain on his shoulders. His generosity saint so ashamed of the thieves that later they began to lead an honest life. Highly respected saint Cretans persuaded him to accept the priesthood in his native city Ravkii, and then was elected bishop of Crete.
