Finland will prepare professional elf

In the Finnish town of Rovaniemi, the school opened for the faithful helper of Santa Claus - The Academy of elves.

Santa Claus, which in Finland is called Yollopukki heavily loaded in the tourist winter season. Now, the Academy will prepare him to help the elves year 2000.

The task of the elves is gift wrapping and response to the 750 thousand letters to children and adults every year who come to the village Yollopukki. Correct elf must also know how to light a fire in the snow, he must understand the local nature and animals, because you never know what exactly will come to mind to ask the children.

The first plane with tourists landed in these parts 20 years ago, since then every year in Lapland is about 500 000 tourists - mostly from France, Britain and Russia.

Despite competing theme parks of Santa Claus in the United States, Canada, Japan, Iceland, Norway, Sweden and Germany, the number of visitors to Finnish Lapland are increasing year after year.
