17 people killed in train collision with bus

At least 17 people were killed in clashes trains and a bus at a railway crossing in central Bangladesh, RIA Novosti reported.

The incident occurred early this morning at a railway crossing Tangai district, 80 kilometers north of the capital of Bangladesh, Dhaka.

As a result of the collision the train Ekota Express to the crowded bus, for unknown reasons, find themselves on the tracks, killing at least 17 people, another 19 bus passengers were injured and taken to the hospital. Details of the incident are being investigated.

Recall, March 1, 2007, 50 people were injured in train collision with a truck. The incident occurred at the crossing near the town of Bihor on the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido. As a result, 46 passengers, train driver and truck driver were injured.

According to police, the truck driver did not notice the sinking turnpike and drove to the railroad tracks. Of the 70 train passengers 40 were hospitalized. Among them are many students who were sent to the graduation ceremony.
