Living in India staged a wedding two trees

In India recently hosted an unusual wedding ceremony - marrying two trees. The villagers of Orissa ties of the two sacred tree: Banyan and Pipa.

In this way, they wanted to draw public attention to the problem of cutting down trees. The event took place in the village Patachela that in 80 km from Bhubaneswar (District Kendrapada).

Long before this incident in the region childless couples married Banyan trees and the Pope in the hope of having a child. This time the organizers would like to call the wedding of people to keep vegetation. "Our village was covered with hundreds of trees, when I was little. But now the amount of greenery was greatly reduced, because a lot of trees cut down. This wedding - sort of action, to remind people how important trees are," - said the villager Narahari Samal.

By the way, this is not the first time, when the locals are fighting for the beauty of this region. Last year, a similar ceremony was held in the neighboring village Olaver. RBC reports.
