The Russians are healthy, but unhappy with the quality of free medical care - poll results
In early July, the All-Russian specialists of Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM) conducted a survey in which citizens were asked about health status and preferences in choosing a treatment.
According to the study, the majority of Russians (76%) more or less satisfied with their health status, while 27% rate it as "good", 4% - as "very good" and 45% - as "satisfactory". Only 19% of respondents believe that their poor health, and another 5% admitted that they have very poor health.
In case of illness, every second respondent (52%) goes to a free state health center or hospital, one in three (37%) cured himself, 6% turn into a paid medical facility, 2% - to traditional healers, alternative medicine, and 3% - do nothing.
Responding to a question about the quality of health services, survey respondents most negative assessments of the honey-service - are satisfied with them, only 34% (including 6% complete), not happy - 66% (including 24% of all).
Nationwide survey conducted on July 1-2 this year, polled 1,600 people in 153 settlements in 46 regions and republics of Russia.
