British historian Eliaster Blanchard in his new study has dispelled the myth of unbridled life of the rulers of the Roman Empire. Of course, the scientist insists that Caesar were sinless. However, the tumultuous feast with plenty of booze is not ended in orgies and homosexual intercourse.

According to the historian, orgies in the Roman palaces - are a fantasy of poets and writers. The Romans, like the ancient Greeks, who preferred to take refuge with his passion somewhere in a dark corner and do not put their relationship show.

All studies of sexual life of ancient Greeks and Romans are based on the wall drawings, depicting a fully naked people. This, according to Blanchard, does not imply immorality. Nudity in the pictures is not carrying any sexual or erotic context. Interpret these images as evidence of sexual abuse relationship people have only in later centuries.

Italian scientists, however, disagreed with his British counterpart. "In Rome, had an orgy, and some other, - says the researcher of antiquities from Rome Marciano Batin - it is worth recalling at least the emperor Tiberius, who liked to play with young boys in pools of their villas and palaces. But where to go from wall paintings, in which young men and the girls are tight chain, indulging in amorous pleasures, "BBC reported.
