The Dalai Lama gave "unexpected" fees to charities

The Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama gave his fee to charitable funds to help earthquake victims in Sichuan, China, cyclone in Myanmar and to children's charities.

Windfall profit of more than 60,000 pounds of the Dalai Lama brought a lecture at the British Nottingham, reports BBC.

Dalai Lama's visit to the United Kingdom took place in late May of this year. In London he met with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown. Then addressed the students of London Metropolitan University, answered questions from the parliamentary committee on foreign affairs, and then held a series of speeches at Oxford and Nottingham.

Children's charities of the city will receive 12,000 pounds and 50 pounds will be transferred to relief funds for earthquake victims in Sichuan, China, cyclone in Myanmar and the children's projects in Tibet itself, transmits RIA Novosti news agency .
