Akunin has translated works by Japanese writer

A famous Russian writer Grigory Chkhartishvili (better known under the pseudonym Boris Akunin) won the Noma Award for the best translation from the Japanese writer Yukio Mishima's works. The ceremony took place today at the Hotel Marriott Aurora in Moscow with the support of the Embassy of Japan in Russia.

"The process of discussion and the choice was not easy, because there were plenty of good writers and good translations. Grigoriy Chkhartishvili reproduced the style of creativity Yukio Mishima is not only accurate but also full of artistic authenticity. He managed to create such an effect of translation, which you can read for yourself itself as an independent literary work "- said at the ceremony the chairman Mitsuyoshi Numan, reports RIA Novosti.
