Construction of the church of St. Great Martyr and Healer Panteleimon was launched in April 2003. His personally oversaw the Federal Security Service director Nikolai Patrushev. At the opening of the temple Alexei II awarded him the Order of St. Dmitry Donskoy: a contribution to the development of cooperation between the state and the Orthodox Church.
The church is one of the best examples of modern church architecture in the capital. lexical II thanked all those who invested in this skill, spirit and perseverance. "I am convinced that all those who are undergoing treatment, will cross the threshold of the temple, but even those who for whatever reason can not cross the threshold, for them in this church will offer prayers," - said the patriarch.
