Austrian and British scientists have calculated how much weigh some European states.

Scientists from the University of Technology in Vienna and the University of Leeds in the UK in their calculations were based on the thickness of the crust combined territories. According to the calculations, the United Kingdom weighs 24 million billion tons, while Austria 9.4 million billion tons, but at 1 km of land in Austria has 112 billion tons, which is much more than the weight of 1 km of the crust of other European countries.

Mass of Germany is 28 million billion tons. At the same time for 1 km German land accounts for only 78.4 billion tons.

The most difficult part of Britain was Britain (13 million billion tons), but her greatest density in the entire United Kingdom - 100 billion tonnes per 1 km against the average for the entire country into 98 billion to 1 km.

Oksoford was the most "heavy" city where mile segment of the crust weighs much as 140,000 tons.

The most "light" areas, given the density, rather than the total mass, were Kornvoll and North Scotland. In general, the mass of Scotland was found to be 6.6 million billion tons, and Wales - 2,000,000 billion tons. RBC reports.
