For battered immigrant Greek police officers lost their positions

A group of Greek police officers suspended from service for beating an immigrant from Romania, reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Greece.

"At the direction of Deputy Interior Minister and head of the Greek police began the process of removal from service of police officers from seven offices in Corinth, for serious crimes and misconduct in respect of a citizen of Romania," - said in a statement.

Among the suspended police officers - the chief of police department city of Corinth.

At Monday, June 2, 1935-year-old Romanian citizen was taken to hospital with serious injuries after he was detained by police.

The victim showed that the police arrested him for allegedly disturbing public order, and then beat him, took away two mobile phones and around 500 euros, and then thrown out of town.

Wounded man found on the field a local farmer. State of the victim is still valued by physicians as serious.
