The monitoring of the Moscow ornithologists, who spent the winter waterfowl records, came to the conclusion that the metropolitan reservoirs significantly reduced the number of gulls.

For example, now settled in the capital, only 13 herring gulls. Last year at this time in the floodplain of Moscow, there were nearly 80 specimens of this species.

Significantly smaller and blue-gray gulls - only 7, whereas last winter they were 23.
