In San Diego, explosion

Explosion occurred on Sunday in the building of a federal court in the U.S. city of San Diego (California), no casualties, the Associated Press news agency reported citing a statement representative of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Epril Lenguell.

According to her, the incident occurred in the heart of downtown San Diego. Authorities suspect that was powered by an improvised explosive device.

The explosion damaged the main entrance to the building and knocked out one window. At the time of the explosion near the building were a few people, but nobody was hurt. Local authorities reported that the building has been inspected for evidence. Probably, the surveillance cameras will also help clarify the situation.

Movement in some streets of San Diego has been blocked for a time, said RIA Novosti. The courthouse is closed for repairs, the report said. Circumstances of the accident are being investigated.
