Transit supplies of Russian gas to Greece fell by a third - because of the mysterious fall of pressure in the pipeline, said the representative of Greek state-owned gas company DEPA Andreas Hristodulakis. "Blue fuel" strange "absorbed" into the pipes that pass through Ukraine.

"Today, we asked six million cubic meters of gas, and received 4 million cubic meters", - said Hristodulakis. According to him, Greece has about a two-week reserve of natural gas, including supplies from Azerbaijan through Turkey and store liquefied natural gas in Revituse near Athens. "Our reserves will last for fifteen days", - said Hristodulakis.

It is worth noting that on 1 January in connection with the expiration of the contract, Gazprom stopped gas supplies to Ukraine, which is a transit country. Moreover, Russia continues to fully deliver gas to Europe and accused Ukraine of siphoning off gas.

Greece also relies on Russia for up to 80% of the country's natural gas. In 2008, consumption in Greece was about 4,3 billion cubic meters of gas, according to RIA Novosti.
