California remained without electricity

The hot weather has caused blackouts in California. Because of the massive use of air conditioners came a power surge, power grid could not bear the high loads.

In Los Angeles County, Orange, Ventura, Riverside and San Bernardino on electricity have been disconnected 20,000 customers, said the representative of the supplier of electricity.

Nearly 3,500 people remained without electricity in the city of Los Angeles, said a spokeswoman for the local department of water and electricity.
