Security Council tightened sanctions against Iran

On the eve of the UN Security Council by 14 votes out of 15 voted for tougher sanctions against. Only Indonesia abstained. Have the same resolution, the representatives of the European "troika": Britain, France and Italy.

Document endorsed 14 of the 15-member UN Security Council, including Russia, USA and China. The reason for the initiation of new sanctions served as Iran's refusal to implement past resolutions and stop uranium enrichment. Now, according to a new Security Council resolution, enacted a ban on foreign trips of several persons involved in the development of Iran's nuclear program. There will also be strengthened by the inspection of cargo, following in Iran and from Iran, as well as the frozen accounts of a number of Iranian banks, companies and organizations. At the same time, they are not subject to the Bushehr plant, which is being built with Russia's participation and under supervision of IAEA.

The resolution does not suggest any measures. Now in Iran must fulfill it within 90 years. Indicated that Iran has not stopped the activities related to uranium enrichment, and did not resume cooperation with the IAEA. In this regard, all countries asked to be vigilant in cooperation with Iran. Sanctions and restrictions apply to 18 individuals involved in the nuclear and missile programs, causing concern of the international community, and 12 Iranian companies.
