Experts of China and Japan met in the case of the poisoned dumplings made in China among Japanese consumers. The Chinese delegation, represented by five government officials and experts, arrived in Tokyo to participate in the food investigation.

Both sides agreed to refrain from premature declarations and to continue discussions on February 4, reports Xinhua.

According to Japanese media, complaining of symptoms of poisoning frozen Chinese dumplings turned more than 800 Japanese. More than a dozen people were hospitalized with symptoms of acute poisoning. According to preliminary data, in the semis was discovered toxic methamidophos.

For the Chinese side remains a mystery, as it could get into dumplings, as the producer of the product Tian Yang Food assures that the production of ravioli methamidophos is not used.

This is not the first scandal, which arose due to substandard Chinese products. In summer and autumn of last year increased content of toxic substances were found in toothpaste from China to the United States, as well as thousands of shipments of toys made in Chinese factories of American company Mattel.

After this, the European Union and the United States demanded that China improve the sanitary and technological requirements for their exports, and the topic of unsafe Chinese products became a key in a series of meetings between Beijing and representatives of Washington and Brussels at the highest level.
