In Nizhny Novgorod prosecutor's office referred to the court a criminal case of a local resident, who in a fit of rage ate the page with the marriage of his ex-wife's passport, he faces up to one year imprisonment, said Thursday officer of the district prosecutor's office.
"During an argument with his ex-wife the man pulled out a sheet with a recording of her passport and ate it. After the divorce, the ex-wife stayed in the marital home, where she was registered. The quarrel occurred in the presence of a new civilian wives men" - said the source.
Policemen arrived the woman tried to show my passport with a stamp of registration, but her husband snatched it and ate it.
In respect of the men had been prosecuted under article 325 of the Criminal Code (destruction, damage or concealment of official documents), 116 of the Criminal Code (assault), 130 of the Criminal Code (insult) and 119 of the Criminal Code (death threats). These articles provide for a maximum sentence of years of imprisonment, confinement of up to three months, six months hard labor and two years imprisonment respectively.
