U.S. get out of persecution for cohabitation outside of marriage

On the eve of the House of Representatives U.S. state of North Carolina repealed a law banning cohabitation unregistered married men and women. Previously, for the offense relied fines and arrest. Now, this penalty is retained only for couples who try to get any benefits, has been formally registered spouses.

The Act was repealed only with the third attempt - two of the previous House of Representatives failed to gain the necessary majority.

Currently, laws such as revoked in North Carolina, remain in force in Virginia, West Virginia, Mississippi, Michigan and Florida, reports AP.
