Due to climate change, Indonesia will lose part of its territory

By 2030, Indonesia could lose about 2,000 islands because of climate change, said Environment Minister of this country.

He said that UN experts have found that by 2030 sea levels will rise by 89 centimeters, which would be flooded about 2,000 islands, most of which are uninhabited.

The government of Indonesia, consisting of 17,000 islands, trying to avoid such a development, reducing dependence on fossil fuels and gradually switching to biofuels, reports Reuters.
