Fifteen hundred Romanians are cut off from the world by flood

08:20 Floods in Romania cut almost 1,5 thousand inhabitants from the rest of the world. More than 130 settlements were deprived of electricity as a result of floods caused by torrential rains in the north and east. Out of the riverbanks breached road access in central Romania. Rescuers evacuated and about 40 tourists staying at the monastery near the 17 th century Sambath de Sousse, 200 km northwest of Bucharest.
