Interior Minister of Chechnya good fights crime

13:24 Chechen Interior Minister Ruslan Alkhanov noted a significant improvement in the crime situation in the republic.
According to Alkhanov, "Today, citizens can peacefully pass on the street at any time, without fearing for their lives and property.
He noted that the number of crimes committed in public places and on the streets has decreased over the year by 63.1% (69 crimes against 187 for the first half of 2005), and detection of crimes of this type has increased by 1,3% and amounted to 59, 3%, reports "Interfax"
