In New York, the plane was forced to sit on the water of the river

Airbus A320 made an emergency landing on the water of the Hudson River in New York. Passengers are still alive and hospitalized.

Less than a minute after takeoff, the pilot reported two collisions with birds, causing the aircraft was denied both engines. The captain of the aircraft received from the dispatcher instructed to return to La Guardia, but seeing the other near the airport, which was "Teterboro in New Jersey, requested permission to sit there. Once it has been received, communication with the aircraft was lost. Shortly thereafter, Airbus splashed on the Hudson.

Within a few hours after the accident, most of the aircraft disappeared under the water, but in that time arrived on the scene, rescuers managed to evacuate all passengers and crew members. New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg at a press conference thanked the commander for his work. Current drivers and passengers said the plane, and the governor of New York, David Paterson, who called the incident "a miracle".

Altogether, according to some data, on board the plane were 155 people, not 151, as previously reported. According to Fox 5 TV, many passengers found themselves after the incident in the water, were hospitalized with hypothermia - temperature of water in the Hudson at the time of the accident was about 6 degrees Celsius. We also know that one of the stewardesses got a broken leg. As a result of the incident there were no fatalities, serious injuries also have not been announced, reports AP.
