Americans threw the dog to be eaten by predatory birds

December 13 2008

American vets advise the owners of small pets - dogs, medium-sized breeds and cats - as close as possible to closely monitor their pets when they are away from home. Otherwise, the four-legged may be victims of predatory birds, which in recent years are increasingly looking for prey in residential areas.

Sad but instructive example - a case that occurred in a town called Winston-Salem, located in North Carolina. Local resident Kelly Emerson, along with her husband on Thanksgiving Day decided not to walk their dogs, as is usually done, but just released the animals into the yard.

One of the dogs - three little Pomeranian named Anya - home after a walk and never returned. Initially, the owners thought that the vermin hiding somewhere in the yard and does not want to go into the house, but then searched all the nooks and understand: Spitz completely disappeared.

Then the couple went in search dogs and found Anna in a neighbor's driveway. The dog was lying, unable to rise, and one of his legs was brokenfooted literally in half. Emerson immediately took the animal to a veterinarian and an expert on the nature of injuries found that Spitz was attacked by some large bird of prey.

Damaged limb amputated, and the hosts Ani got strict orders - will never produce a small dog for a walk alone, wrote , "Pravda.Ru" .
