In the Georgian-Abkhaz conflict, an explosive device blew up children playing, said the assistant commander of the forces of the Collective CIS Peace Keeping Force (PKF) Alexander Diordiev by telephone from Sukhumi.

He said: "At about 16:30 in the area of the municipality Meore-maps, near the ford across the river Inguri, two boys during the game hit a mine. One of them, aged 13, died on the spot and another was wounded and hospitalized," , reports " Interfax ".

PKF command conduct a thorough investigation into the incident to find out who and when mine was installed.
