In the Far East has a new envoy

Oleg Safonov was appointed plenipotentiary of the Russian president to the Far East Federal District. The decree was signed by Vladimir Putin. Before the new appointment of Oleg Safonov was the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs.

47-year-old Oleg Safonov was born in Ulyanovsk, graduated from the Moscow Higher School of borderline and Red Banner Institute of the Soviet KGB. In the early 1990's he worked with Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg: Putin was chairman of the City Committee for Foreign Liaison and Safonov - chief specialist of the committee. Other posts by Oleg Alexandrovich: Advisor to the Governor of Leningrad Region, Chief of Staff of the State Committee, deputy presidential envoy in the Southern Federal District, Auditor of the Accounts Chamber. Since November 2006, he served as Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs.

Until October 2, Far East envoy of the President was Kamil Iskhakov. He served in this position for about two years. In 2000-2005 Putin's plenipotentiary representative in the Far East was Konstantin Pulikovsky. Now Pulikovsky - Chapter RTN, Iskhakov - Deputy Minister of Regional Development of Russia. Since early October responsibilities Far presidential envoy Oleg performed Antosenko, reported IA " Interfax ".
