The presidents of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, Sergei Bagapsh and Eduard Kokoity, refused to call for Saakashvili to build a common state with Georgia and declared the impossibility of entering their republics into the united Georgian state.

"Coexistence of Abkhazia and Georgia in one state can not" - said Tuesday Bagapsh, commenting on the appeal of Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili to the Abkhazian and South Ossetian people. "Georgia can not understand that we do not need any props positions in the Georgian state. We made our choice and will continue its path to independence "- Bagapsh said.

In turn, Kokoity said: "We were already in the Georgian state and our people have repeatedly been subjected to genocide. The people of South Ossetia has made its choice in favor of an independent state, and we, the leaders of the republic, will not deviate from this path. " "The people of South Ossetia have no prospects in the united Georgian state," - said Kokoity. Earlier in a televised address on Tuesday, Saakashvili called on the residents of Abkhazia and South Ossetia and Georgia to build a unified state, reports " Interfax ".
