At an open meeting of UN Security Council Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN Vitaly Churkin said that in discussing the situation in Georgia, the Council is "a propaganda campaign at the expense of serious political work."

As the TV channel "Vesti", Churkin, speaking at a public meeting of the UN Security Council, expressed the view that the convening of this meeting "took place under the influence of a declaration adopted on the eve of the foreign ministers of NATO, which Russia's envoy described as" biased and prejudiced. "

He also noted that the statement does not say how it all began, why it happened and who started the aggressive action of those who armed the Georgian leadership, reports news agency " Interfax ".
