EU obitsya recognition of Abkhazia CIS

The European Union has expressed concern about signs of training in Russia and some of its allies to recognize the independence of Abkhazia from Georgia.

"We are concerned about the situation around Georgia, because Russia and the CIS countries have decided to spend some parallels with Kosovo" - said Slovenian Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel at a press conference after a meeting held in Brussels European Council, at which he presided. In the same vein the other members of the EU Council.

Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt said that while the prospect of recognition of Abkhazia's independence by some countries of the CIS is very hypothetical, but the concern is the lifting of trade restrictions and the flow of Russian investments in Abkhazia.

"It can be regarded as de facto annexation, and if this happens, it can not be the subject of our big concerns," - said K. Bildt. This writes the news agency Interfax .
