Prodi dissolve the parliament

Resigned chairman of the Council of Ministers Romano Prodi on Wednesday in the office of the president would sign a decree dissolving parliament. This was announced Tuesday at the conclusion of the meetings that Italian President Giorgio Napolitano held with the chairmen of both chambers of parliament Franco Marini and Fausto Bertinotti.

Neither F. Marini, nor F. Bertinotti not made any statements after his meeting with Dzh.Napolitano.

According to Italian law, the elections in Italy should be carried out after 45-70 days after the dissolution of parliament. The most anticipated dates for new elections, now called the 13 or 14 April, reported Interfax .
