British scientists have come to the conclusion that social networks such as Twitter and Facebook, can help track the epidemic, including a new influenza H1N1. The researchers made this conclusion by studying the users' messages in the blogs. How do they explain their illness flu reported around 4 million users and is much more than statistics of call centers of the National Health Service. The more that people are suffering from a mild form usually treated independently. Tracking the same similar messages can predict the epidemic and prevent it, writes MedPortal.ru.

According to Dr. Ed de Quincey, University of London, the social network can give good statistics, not only by the number of cases to those or any other infectious disease, so you can keep track of incidents of drug use, identify their frequency and to make statistical reports.
