Malawi court today allowed the pop star Madonna to adopt girl from the country.

Back in April, the court did not allow 50-year old singer to adopt a four-year Chifundo James, whose name in local dialect means "mercy". The judge explained his decision by saying that Madonna has no Malawian citizenship required for this procedure, as well as the reluctance to set a precedent that could lead to human trafficking. In this case, the lack of citizenship did not prevent the singer and her ex-husband British filmmaker Guy Ritchie two years ago to adopt a 13-month-old boy from Malawi, David Banda.

After that, the American pop star has filed an appeal against the decision of the Malawian court. During the May hearing of the case made by the expert on constitutional law Modechay Msiska, who said that, despite the lack of citizenship of the Madonna, the denial of adoption is unconstitutional because it violates the rights of the child.

The situation with the adoption girls is further complicated by the fact that since November last year, Madonna and Guy Ritchie are to divorce, which means that the singer will automatically become an unofficial status of "single mothers".

Meanwhile, the state of the singer's estimated £ 300 million. Madonna has three children - daughter Lourdes, son Rocco and adopted David. Malawi is one of the world's poorest countries, about 14 percent of 12 million people are infected with human immunodeficiency virus. Electricity and TV and radio broadcasting network virtually undeveloped, so the vast majority of people in the country, most likely never heard the songs of Madonna.
