The British press on the internet will be paid

Era, when the World Wide Web can all get free, is gone. So says the head of News Corporation Rupert Murdoch. He has officially announced that quality journalism is expensive, and soon the Internet version of the popular newspaper The Times, The Sun, News of the World will be paid.

Media mogul insists that industry, which distributes content over the row, depriving themselves of the opportunity to produce a quality product. Its profit corporation this year declined by 3.4 billion dollars.

Murdoch plans to take money directly from readers. So far, only one edition of the media empire The Wall Street Journal requires a fee-per-view articles. It is expected that online access to most media corporations will be introduced next year, reports Pravda.ru .
