Bill Clinton arrived in the DPRK. Earlier it was reported that former U.S. president went there to obtain the release of two American journalists. However, White House spokesman Thomas Vetor said in Washington that he had "no comment" about the trip the ex-leader. Refused to speak on this subject and the State Department.

The plane of the former U.S. president landed at Pyongyang airport, Sona, where he met senior representatives of the DPRK among whom was the head of the North Korean delegation to the Six-Party Talks Kim Kye Gwan, according to ITAR-TASS .

American journalists were arrested by North Korean authorities in mid-March near the Sino-North Korean border in the preparation of materials for a defector from North Korea. They were sentenced to 12 years hard labor on charges of illegally entering the country and the "hostile acts" against Pyongyang. In recent weeks, Washington and Pyongyang were "intensive consultations" on the fate of these two reporters.
