Putin ordered the residents to pay debts Pikalevo end of the day

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin today ordered before the end of the day to clear all arrears of salary for employees of enterprises in Pikalevo.

"We made hostages of their ambitions, unprofessional, and maybe, just greed, thousands of people. This is absolutely unacceptable, where is the social responsibility of business?", - Putin said, addressing the representatives of companies operating in Pikalevo. Prime Minister added that all arrears of wages amounting to 41 million 240 thousand rubles to be paid before the end of the day. "Deadline - Today" - said the head of the Cabinet at a meeting on the city. He added that the necessary money had been transferred to the accounts of responsible companies in the Savings Bank the day before.

The situation in Pikalevo deteriorated in the past year due to the shutdown of three core enterprises, previously formed a single processing chain. Pikalevsky refinery, purchased by "Basel" in 2007 (after buying renamed "BaselCementPikalyovo"), was stopped on the conversion. No longer receive "BaselCementPikalyovo" necessary raw materials, last year stopped "Metakhim and Pikalevsky cement. In the spring of 2009, Pikalevsky Cement, part of Eurocement Group, partially restored the production, creating a new technology cycle, independent of supply "BaselCementPikalyovo.
