Elijah died the day before. In his own apartment. Nearly eight in the evening his body was found colleagues, worried that he did not return calls and did not attend the shoot. Apartment door was open. Inside, everything turned upside down. Everywhere - the traces of blood. Elijah was in the room, face down. Later, doctors determined that he received a serious head injury. On his body - a lot of bruising. Apparently, he was beaten for a long time. And, apparently with a blunt object. No gunshot or stab wounds there.
A forensic examination showed that the journalist died as a result of strangulation. He has a broken hyoid bone. The experts concluded that he was strangled by hand. Operatives believe that the most likely Zimin himself admitted killer, as the door is clearly not broke. This happened, apparently, on Sunday morning. What happened next is hard to say. Obviously, that was a struggle.
According to Ekho Moskvy, one of the neighbors even heard the cry "help somebody". Investigators believe that everything indicates that the offense is criminal in nature. However, the review and the version that the killing may be related to professional activities. Recently, Ilya worked as a special correspondent for the information service of NTV was one of the leading program "Profession: Reporter". However, colleagues say that Zimin had not received any threats.
TV reporter is buried in his homeland, in Khabarovsk, on Thursday (March 2). Parting with them will be held on Wednesday (March 1) in the conference hall of Ostankino in 11 hours.
