George W. Bush called Ukraine "a source of inspiration"

Before, during a solemn ceremony of signing the bill to abolish the Jackson-Vanik amendment regarding Ukraine, the U.S. president noted that he opens a new era in relations with this country that the United States is proud to call friend.

According to the American president, embarked on the path of democracy and consistently realizing policy reforms, Ukraine has become a "source of inspiration for those who love freedom." Bush described the "orange revolution" as "an impressive example of freedom for the peoples of the world.

The U.S. president expressed the hope that the introduction of normal trade relations with the United States will open new economic opportunities for both countries and will contribute to the growth of the Ukrainian economy, according to Interfax.

Previously, "Pravda.ru" reported that the cancellation of the amendment was endorsed by both houses of Congress .

Recall that the amendment was adopted in 1974 prohibits the granting of government loans, as well as a discriminatory taxes and tariffs on Ukrainian exports.
