Monetization of benefits "rehabilitated" in the eyes of Russians
All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM) on the basis of a survey conducted in January 2006, cites data: about 41% of Russians believe that the holding of a year ago, the monetization of benefits was the correct measure.
Only 21% while still refers to the monetization negatively, believing that reform is intrinsically bad and the results are negative. They agree almost 13% of respondents who believe that the need for monetization was not. However, they are at the same time believe that the situation was corrected by the considerable financial costs of the government.
As noted in the VTsIOM, in the past year more than doubled (from 27% to 12%) decline in the proportion of those who believe that the replacement of benefits with monetary compensation is extremely negative impact on their position, significantly reducing the standard of living of their families.
Currently, almost half of beneficiaries (44%) opted for cash compensation against the benefits to their former, in kind. Almost half (24%) of respondents prefer privileged kind, choosing the so-called "social package", including free drugs, a ticket to a sanatorium, travel on commuter rail, RBC reports.
